- reversible, as in double the fabric needed ...
and still have enough left over to make a little top and skirt.
And STILL! have enough scraps to make hair clippies (if I ever get around to it), and a skirt for Miss Liza (beloved doll), too, because Miss Liza is a superstar like her namesake and requires a lot of costume changes.
Of course, this requires some careful cutting, but I seem to have a knack for getting every available square inch of usable fabric out of a yard, and ending up with only tiny squiggles and triangles left at the end. ;-)

Two complete custom outfits (one reversible, so it's really more like three), plus a doll skirt and hair doohickeys, for $18? Woohoo! (I know, I know, value of time and all that, but the feeling of pride is such a bonus in my book, that part certainly evens out.)
I know these outfits are super-summery and fall is coming, but (a) summer here lasts until late October, at least! and (b) I actually finished the skirt and tie top back in early July, but didn't manage to finish the rest until this week, even though they've been cut out and ready to stitch for months.

Oh, well. Sigh. Those shorts are long enough that she may be able to wear them next year, too.
